Live-in Carer

You will effectively become part of the family and support everything from companionship and personal care to managing complex care needs and medication requirements. Your role helps clients remain independent and enjoy fulfilled lives, while giving peace of mind to relatives that their loved ones are safe and well.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Live-in Carer, your role is to improve the quality of life for those you support. You will provide personal care, assist with nutritional needs, administer medication, and offer companionship, ensuring clients feel valued and cared for in their own homes. You will be working in one household, typically with one or two clients for the duration of the shift pattern described below.

  • Provide personal care and support with daily activities.

Placements can range from 2 to 12 weeks in the same home, dependent on client needs and flexibility. Examples of patterns and pay include:

  • 2 weeks on / 1 week off (35 weeks per year, with 17 weeks off)
  • 12 weeks on / 1 week off (48 weeks per year)
What We're Looking For
  • You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, with access to your own vehicle.
  • Strong communication skills and a good standard of English.
  • You’ll need an enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
