Job summary

A legal firm in Trowbridge is seeking a candidate to support the Litigation Department. Responsibilities include audio typing, managing communications, and general office duties. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, a good telephone manner, and the ability to interact effectively with clients. Previous experience in a litigation role is beneficial but not required. This position offers a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Job description

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm
Holiday: 28 days in addition to public holidays

Job purpose:

To provide support to the Litigation Department.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Audio typing, preparing and amending draft documents
  2. Making and receiving telephone calls and dealing with emails
  3. Dealing with clients both in person and on the telephone and assisting clients in the absence of a fee earner
  4. Making appointments and assisting with queries
  5. Photocopying, filing and general office duties including opening files and preparing completed files for storage
  6. Assisting other members of the Litigation team and liaising with other members of staff as appropriate
  7. Liaising with Accounts Department to obtain cheques, print-outs etc., as necessary
  8. Liaising with the Office Manager with regard to stocks of stationery etc.
  9. Reception cover during absence on holiday or illness
Skills/requirements:
  • Accurate and fast typing

Qualifications/Experience:
