A leading IT service provider is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join their dynamic Defence team in the UK. The role involves overseeing and enhancing Linux capabilities while developing open-source tools and providing technical support. Candidates should have extensive experience in Linux platform engineering, proficiency with Enterprise Linux, and a familiarity with automation tools like Ansible. A hybrid work model allows for flexibility with three days onsite and two days remote, offering an engaging environment focused on professional growth.
There is a lot happening in Linux! Join our dynamic IT Defence team, where you will be responsible for all aspects of our Linux capabilities. This role offers exposure to business‑as‑usual operations, delivered services, and innovative project work. We welcome candidates with experience in Slurm or HPC and Ansible.
We have different level opportunities in this growing team, so don’t shy away if you don’t have all the skills.
You do need to be eligible for SC and DV Clearance.
Hybrid Fixed: 3 days per week on our Portsmouth OR Salisbury site, 2 days home working.
