A local support service is seeking two female Personal Assistants in Knott End-On-Sea to help a lady who is a wheelchair user. Morning responsibilities include getting her ready for the day and light cleaning, while evening responsibilities focus on helping her prepare for bed. The role offers an hourly rate of £15 plus paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 female Personal Assistants to provide support to a lady who is a wheelchair user with daily living and to access the local community. No lifting will be required for this person.
There are two positions available for support. One person is required in the morning and one in the evening.
Morning support includes support with getting up and dressed, as well as being present during shower time. It also includes possible meal preparation and domestic support such as light cleaning. The morning shift includes support with paperwork and ordering items online when required. No toileting needs are required.
Plus further hours are available for outings if wanted, including support with getting in and out of a specialised wheelchair‑accessible hatchback car when necessary, shopping and local outings.
Hours to include 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the possibility of more to follow on certain days by agreement of applicant.
Evening support includes getting ready for bed and light cleaning tasks.
Hours to include 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. on agreement of applicant on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
We are looking for people who are cheerful with a sense of humour, common sense, ability to problem‑solve and have initiative to complete tasks as needed.
Previous experience is not required as training will be provided, but a positive attitude and good work ethic are essential. Basic computer and internet skills would be helpful for the morning position. A car driver is preferred; if applicant is a driver this person would need a full clean licence.
Hourly rate of £15 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme available.
