JOB SUMMARY: Provide direct nursing care to the AL residents and supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with state and federal standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Must be currently licensed in the State of Florida as a License Practical Nurse. Must be CPR Certified.
Experience and Basic Knowledge: One year of long term care desirable. Med/Surg, Home Health experience helpful. Also experience working with the handicapped, developmentally disabled, or older adults preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements: The physical activities of this position involve: Manual Dexterity, Lifting up to 40 lbs., Standing, Stooping, Grasping, Pushing, Kneeling, Reaching
Sensory and communicative activities with or without prosthetics of this position are: Feeling, Smelling, Hearing, Speaking, Seeing, and Tasting
An individual in this position will be exposed to: Inside environmental conditions, Blood borne pathogens, Physical hazards using equipment, and Respiratory hazards
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of this position.
