Job description

Overview

My client is a leading recycling company based in South Kirkby, West Yorkshire. Due to continued expansion, they now have a position for an LGV Fitter to join their small team at their site. The successful LGV Fitter will carry out inspection, diagnostics, service, maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of LGVs.

LGV Fitter Responsibilities:

• Ensure all company vehicles are kept legal and roadworthy.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain all vehicles and trailers in fleet as required.
• Service vehicles and trailers as required.
• Inspect vehicles within the SMI requirements.
• Be part of the call out rota, attending out of hours breakdowns as required.

LGV Fitter Requirements:

• Must hold a relevant mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.
• Previous experience of working on HGV/LGV vehicles.
• Able to work well under pressure and on own initiative.
• Hold Class 1/C+E driving licence - desirable.

LGV Fitter Benefits:

• Annual salary is £42,607 - £44,607 depending on experience (includes on call allowance).
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays, rising with service.
• Monday - Friday - 40 hours - rotating shifts 6am - 2.30pm/8am - 4.30pm.
