A local government council in Lowestoft is seeking an LGV / Labourer to join their Building Maintenance Team. In this role, you will assist in a variety of building maintenance tasks, supporting the Council's housing stock. Candidates must hold a class 2 LGV driving licence and have experience in building site environments. The position offers 37 hours per week with a competitive salary and generous leave entitlement, alongside other benefits aimed at supporting employee well-being and career development.

We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Building Maintenance Team as a LGV / Labourer.
The post holder will be required to undertake or assist in a wide range of building maintenance duties performed to, or in association with, the Council's retained housing stock. The role may consist of working as part of a team or lone working in many varied tasks all consistent with providing a repair and maintenance service for Council tenants to their homes.
The role will include many manual handling and physical tasks as would be expected in a building maintenance environment.
The successful candidate will have previous building site experience and knowledge of basic building maintenance procedures and would have obtained a class 2 LGV driving licence.
The post holder will have the ability to work as part of a team however, also be able to work alone and unsupervised.
