Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of client pitches and market updates.
  • Collaborate with syndicate desks on pricing rationales and comparables.
  • Analyse new business opportunities and prepare internal credit and market committee memos.
  • Support portfolio management through annual reviews and client monitoring.
  • Build financial models for transactions and ensure compliance.
  • Assist senior originators in reviewing and negotiating leveraged finance documentation.
  • Create marketing materials and execution documents including roadshow presentations.

Job summary

Crédit Agricole CIB is seeking a dynamic and driven Leverage Finance Associate to join our Corporate & Leveraged Finance team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing group responsible for originating, structuring, and executing leveraged loan and high‑yield bond transactions for private equity, telecom, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of client pitches and market updates.
  • Collaborate with syndicate desks on pricing rationales and comparables.
  • Analyse new business opportunities and prepare internal credit and market committee memos.
  • Support portfolio management through annual reviews and client monitoring.
  • Build financial models for transactions and ensure compliance and documentation processes are completed.
  • Assist senior originators in reviewing and negotiating leveraged finance documentation.
  • Create marketing materials and execution documents including roadshow presentations and DD questionnaires.
  • Participate in due diligence, client calls, and roadshows.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g. syndicate, legal, coverage, compliance) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Conduct market research and mentor junior team members.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in leveraged credit and / or structured finance.
  • Strong understanding of syndicated term loan and high‑yield bond markets.
  • Familiarity with the financial sponsor community.
  • Proficiency in credit analysis, financial modelling, and memo drafting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and remain resilient.
