A leading rail infrastructure provider in the UK is seeking an individual to improve operational safety at level crossings through risk assessment and inspections. The role includes managing relationships with stakeholders, compliance with safety legislation, and contributing to project delivery. To develop, plan and implement proposals based on risk assessment to improve operational safety on level crossings, delivered in accordance with the relevant legislation and Standards. To undertake level crossing inspection, faulting and maintenance as allocated. To build and manage effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
The role also encompasses providing Safe Work planning support and contributing to project delivery activities. This includes preparing and reviewing Safe Work packs, supporting access and worksite planning, ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards, and assisting project teams with coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication. The postholder will work collaboratively across operational and project discipline to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant planning of railway works alongside core level crossing responsibilities.
