We’re seeking a talented, passionate practitioner to become a key part of our small, nurturing Appropriate Provision Unit. As one of just three specialist TAs, you’ll work closely with a group of six incredible children with SEND, supporting their individual needs and helping them grow every day.

In this unique role, you’ll help shape a provision designed to build children’s social and emotional confidence while developing their speech, language and communication skills—empowering them to truly engage with their learning.

Our children follow an engagement-model curriculum, blending holistic, exploratory experiences with moments of more formal learning when appropriate. If you’re committed, creative and ready to make a meaningful impact in a warm, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.

The Opportunity
  • Encourage and promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students
  • Assist with the development and implementation of IEPs
  • Liaise with specialist services on behalf of individual students, e.g., educational psychologists, and speech therapists, by agreement with the Class Teacher
  • Monitor and evaluate students’ responses to learning activities through observation and planned recording of achievement against pre-determined learning objectives
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to the Teacher on student achievement, progress, and other matters, e.g., IEPs
The ideal candidate
  • Good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths
  • Understanding of the education system
  • Understanding of phonics, numeracy, and literacy development
  • Skilled at developing children’s self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners
  • Kindness and empathy towards students and colleagues
