Job description

As a CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the daily life of the nursery. You will work within a specific room or key group, assisting the Room Leader and the management team in delivering high-quality early years education and care. This position is ideal for someone looking to make a direct, positive impact on children's early development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Support: Provide direct support to children, both individually and in small groups, adapting activities to meet their diverse needs and abilities.
  • Learning Environment: Assist in creating a stimulating, safe, and welcoming learning environment that adheres to the EYFS framework and health & safety guidelines.
  • Observation & Assessment: Conduct observations of key children, maintain accurate records of their progress, and contribute to planning future activities.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other staff members and the Room Leader to ensure a cohesive and supportive team dynamic.
  • Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing feedback on their child's day and development.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold the nursery's safeguarding policies and procedures at all times, ensuring the welfare of all children is paramount.
