Overview
Job description: Nursery opening times 8:30am–6:00pm. Permanent, full-time, part-time and temporary staff considered.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Supervise children’s playtime, ensure safety, and encourage positive interactions among peers.
- Establish strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nursery environment.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, document developmental milestones, and communicate findings with parents.
- Collaborate with other staff to plan and execute special events or programs.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while promoting hygiene practices among children.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with children and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
