Job description

Long Term Futures are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a supportive primary school in North Surrey. This is a brilliant opportunity for a dedicated individual who holds a recognised Level 3 childcare qualification and is looking for a fulfilling long‑term role with the potential to become permanent.

The school is well‑known for its welcoming environment and excellent facilities, making it an ideal setting for early years exploration. We are also keen to hear from experienced Room Leaders who are seeking their next challenge.

Position

This full‑time position is a key part of the school's wrap‑around care. Shifts will run from approximately 9:00 AM and include evening cover finishing every evening at 6:00 PM.

Your Core Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nursery Teacher with engaging and educational activities across the early years curriculum.
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment is maintained for all children at all times.
  • Support daily routines effectively, including mealtimes, sleep periods, and personal care.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with pupils, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Contribute to tracking and recording children's development and progress.
Essential Candidate Requirements
  • Must hold a Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification (Diploma in Childcare and Education, Diploma for Early Years Educators).
  • Prior experience working in an early years or nursery setting is essential.
  • Possess a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • Demonstrate patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.
  • Maintain a proactive and team‑oriented approach to your work and duties.
