We are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing across the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils as required.
• Assist pupils with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities.
• Support children with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes.
• Support pupils during lunchtimes, transitions, and activities.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with displays.
• Observe, record, and feedback on pupil progress.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies at all times.

Essential Requirements

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• A positive, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Phonics or early years experience.
