Job description

Our client is a multi-disciplined environmental consultancy, who provide a range of clean air services including LEV testing and validations to clients across the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced, hardworking and P601 qualified LEV Engineer based in and around the Walsall area. The successful candidate will have hands on experience in undertaking the testing, installation and servicing of Local Exhaust Ventilation systems to a varied site base. Experience in testing Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 fume cupboards and carrying out clean room validation would also be beneficial to the role. Applications from Wolverhamton, Cannock, Tamworth, West Bromwich and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must hold the minimum of the P601 certificate.
  • Hands on experience under-taking the testing, installation and maintenance of L.E.V systems is essential.
  • Experience in working on class 1, class 2 and class 3 fume cupboards.
  • Experience carrying out clean room validations would be beneficial.
  • Proven track record of producing technical service reports.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficient IT skills including using the Microsoft Office Package.
Duties of the Role
  • The work will involve undertaking local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing, validations and maintenance on a varied site base.
  • Carrying out Testing Emissions, reviewing and approving assessments.
  • Collating and producing accurate technical reports.
  • Providing a consultancy service to clients, advising on technical reports and further services.
  • Under-taking fume cupboard examinations.
  • Carrying out clean room validations.
  • Visiting sites as requested by clients and tackling issues effectively.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Presentations to staff, company and contractors regarding occupational hygiene.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.
