Job summary

Job description

NLC4 £27,571 – £28,879 (Pro Rata)

Based in Shotts Leisure Centre, Shotts, your main task will be to assist our customers within this busy sports venue and ensure that they enjoy their visit. The customers’ safety, especially within the pool area, will be your main responsibility.

All candidates should either possess a RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, be working towards the completion of it or be required to undergo appropriate training to obtain the appropriate qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in the sports venue.
  • Ensure customer safety, particularly within the pool area.
  • Perform general cleaning duties.
  • Set out equipment and prepare for events.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or working toward it).
  • Strong swimmer.
  • Neat and tidy appearance.
  • Pleasant manner, good communication skills, and helpful approach when dealing with customers.
  • Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.
Work Pattern

25 Hours: Monday to Friday 8.15am – 1.15pm alternating on a weekly basis with 3.15pm to 8.15pm.

Benefits

27 days annual leave and 6 public holidays*. All casual/sessional roles receive 12.1% of the hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
