Job Description

Our client is a well‑known water company delivering water treatment, hygiene and legionella services across the UK. They are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around Hertford to join their expanding team.

Location

Hertford area, with consideration for candidates from Harlow, Stevenage, Watford, Luton and surrounding locations.

Experience

• Completed City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or an equivalent WMS qualification.
• Proven track record as a legionella risk assessor in the water hygiene/water treatment industry.
• Hands‑on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Packages.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines across a varied site base.
• Compile and create schematic drawings and produce final documents/reports for clients.
• Provide recommendations, pricing and quotations for remedial works and routine control measures; execute these works where required.
• Write up appropriate reports and attend meetings to discuss findings.
• Contribute to the company’s legionella management systems.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, customers and staff.
• Handle problems efficiently and effectively as they arise.
• Prioritise workload and ensure tasks are completed within stipulated timescales.
• Travel to sites as per client requirements.
