Overview

Our client is a well-established water treatment consultancy who provide specialist advice and services on all aspects of water treatment and legionella to high profile clients throughout the UK. Due to continued success, they now have a vacancy for a driven and hard-working Legionella Business Development Manager based in or around the London area to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from a strong managerial background, possess excellent leadership skills, and will demonstrate their business development experience gained through working in a similar role within the water treatment industry. An extensive knowledge and experience of legionella consultancy is essential to this role. Applications from Basildon, Hertford, Dartford, Slough, and areas with good access to the M62 will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • A strong sales, business development, management, technical and office background is essential.
  • Experience working in a business development role within the water treatment industry required.
  • A proven track record of managing and growing legionella accounts.
  • Have a good formal education.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
Role
  • Resourcing new contracts whilst managing existing ones.
  • Involvement with the sales, commercial and financial side of the business.
  • Promoting the company’s legionella services.
  • Produce quotations and submit tenders.
  • Develop and monitor business forecasts and budgets.
  • Build a professional working relationship with clients/customers.
  • Maintaining the company’s systems.
  • Attend and conduct meetings to discuss financial position of the business, etc.
  • Achieving target and goals.
  • Assist in the development of the sales staff by providing further training where required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the company’s Health & Safety procedures.
  • Developing plans for new clients and suppliers – contracts or services.
