About the Team

The Private Client team is a highly regarded and dynamic practice, comprising Succession & Tax and Family law specialists. Generating significant annual fees and employing over 50 professionals across multiple UK offices, the team is recognized as a leader in the industry. The Role

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of private client matters, focusing on Wills, Probate, and complex estate planning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney for UK-based and international clients.
  • Advising on estate planning, including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and income tax implications.
  • Managing the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate, handling intestate estates, and dealing with foreign domicile matters.
  • Preparing deeds of variation, gifts, and family arrangements.
  • Providing strategic trust advice, including set-up, management, and administration in collaboration with the firm’s dedicated Trust Administration team.

  • A STEP qualification with strong technical expertise in private client law.
  • A proven track record in business development and commercial success within the Succession & Tax specialism.
  • The ability to manage and supervise junior team members, with a collaborative and strategic approach to leadership.

  • Experience handling complex cases independently, with a strong understanding of Wills, Probate, and estate planning.
