Job description

We are currently working with a global technology organisation, to bring a new lawyer with datasets experience into the team. This will be initially on a 6 month basis but with possibility to be extended.

The ideal applicant will have a strong background in commercial transactions, IP licensing and privacy law. Being able to balance legal, cultural and business demands and produce practical, solution‑focused advice is essential.

The role will see you, but is not limited to :
  • Helping with dataset clearance / reviews.
  • Identifying and advise on legal / risk considerations around dataset usage (e.g. IP, licensing, privacy, policy and governance considerations), used for development of AI technologies.
  • Advising on interpretation of regulations that may have implications on the use of that data (e.g. GDPR, DMA).
  • Advising on scope of data licence agreements.
  • Drafting policies and governance processes for the ingestion and use of data.

Our assignments are predominantly full time, working on a hybrid model within the London area and surrounding suburbs.
