Job Description

As Legal Counsel, you will sit in the Corporate Law and Regulatory Compliance Team and report to the Head of Contracts and Procurement and support on:

  • Commercial contracts, MOUs
  • Advising on intellectual property, property agreements, employment issues
  • Managing in-house litigation, judicial reviews and disputes
  • Assisting the Info Gov team in responding to FOIs

The Successful Applicant

The successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • 3 years experience in relevant role
  • experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
  • experience advising on public sector procurement
  • experience providing employment law advice, or managing litigation would be advantageous


Qualified and non-qualified applications are welcomed, so long as you have the requisite experience and desired skillset.

Public Sector and Government experience would suit.

As well as an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge as an in-house lawyer, you'll receive a salary circa £44k plus 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, access to the Civil Service Pension Scheme and partnership pension schemes and other benefits.
