A leading renewable energy company seeks a legal counsel to support in providing legal and regulatory guidance. In this role, you will draft and review contracts, assist in compliance matters, and provide legal advice within the energy sector. Ideal candidates will hold a law degree, be qualified to practice in England & Wales, and possess strong negotiation and communication skills.

Masdar is jointly owned by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), and Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), and under this ownership the company is targeting a renewable energy portfolio capacity of at least 100 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 and an annual green hydrogen production capacity of up to 1 million tonnes by the same year.
Purpose for the role:
To support in the provision of legal and regulatory advice and direction to Masdar UK to facilitate the making of informed decisions while managing key legal and regulatory risks. To support execution of processes, memorandum, contracts and other documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and implement commercial transactions, under the supervision of a senior lawyer. To review and negotiate legal related documents and contracts, and assess legal and regulatory risks in business operations, with guidance from senior team members

The jobholder will support and assist the General Counsel, Global Offshore Wind & UK, and other members of the Masdar UK legal team as required from time to time.
