Job summary

An expanding engineering company in Bristol is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal support and draft commercial contracts. The role requires a qualified lawyer with over 3 years of legal experience, offering hybrid working conditions. You will work closely with senior management and be responsible for various legal matters including M&A transactions. Job description

Legal Counsel 3+ Bristol

Hybrid role that requires 2 days per week in the office in Bristol at this expanding engineering company that operates internationally. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be the 2nd qualified lawyer at this expanding company with the drafting and negotiating of commercial contracts at the heart of the role. This is a key hire where you will work directly with senior management and be adept at working both autonomously and as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the various internal departments.
• Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts including, customer agreements, procurement agreements, R&D agreements and collaboration agreements amongst others.
• On an ad-hoc basis you will assist on M&A transactions and with other departments such as regulatory and corporate governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified in England & Wales
• 3+ years' legal work experience and currently working either in-house or at a leading law firm
