Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Legal Assistant to support legal tasks under the guidance of a Senior Lawyer. Responsibilities include preparing court documents, coordinating appearances, and conducting legal research. Location: 1 Catford Road, Catford, London, SE6 4RU

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £17.78 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with legal tasks under Senior Lawyer's guidance.
  • Help prepare witness statements and court documents.
  • Coordinate court appearances and represent the Council in minor cases.
  • Support property transactions and contract matters.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in complex transactions.
  • Manage case files using computer systems.
  • Stay updated on legal developments.
  • Prepare reports and statistical data as needed.
  • Follow equal opportunities and health and safety policies.
  • Maintain contact with internal and external parties.
