Job description
Role Overview

To provide administrative support to the magistracy across Wales. The post holder will support a range of committees, manage communications, and assist with the running of the magistrates rota.

Responsibilities
  • Support Advisory Recruitment Committees: facilitate online interviews via Teams, work with the Affinix portal, and process magistrate retirements/resignations using the Magistrates Rota and Judicial HR portal.
  • Assist Justices' Training Approvals, Authorisations & Appraisal Committees: receive appraisals and applications, and provide administrative support to the committees across Wales.
  • General Bench Support: send communications to the magistracy across Wales and manage responses appropriately.
  • Magistrates Rota: support the wider teams in the day‑to‑day management of the magistrates rota across Wales.
  • Deliver HMCTS public services from an office setting; engage with customers in a professional and helpful manner.
Job Details
  • Standard full‑time working hours: 37 hours per week.
  • Flexible working options: part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing arrangements are available, subject to business needs and agreed in advance.
  • Hybrid working: 60 % of time to be spent in office, with the remainder flexible; arrangements to be discussed with the successful candidate.
  • Location: nearest suitable office based on home postcode (HQ, JCC or JSO).
