Applications are invited for a temporary part‑time (40% FTE) post in the School of Psychology and Sports Sciences. This role is part of a national, NHS England‑funded distance‑learning programme delivering a PG Dip in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). The successful candidate will help teach, supervise and support students, and will also contribute to programme development and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lectures and tutorials at postgraduate level.
• Motivate students, provide constructive feedback and keep up to date with new developments in the field.
• Develop teaching materials, contribute to module co‑ordination, and maintain scholarly activity in line with university strategy.
• Publish evidence of scholarship related to learning and teaching.
• Participate in student recruitment, induction, and programme management activities.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives and accreditation/QA procedures.
• Comply with health & safety, equality and Welsh language policies.
• Engage in performance review, development and uphold the university’s legal and financial responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional accreditation as a mental health professional.
• Accredited DBT therapist with the Society of DBT in the UK and Ireland.
• Effective teaching capability in DBT and/or psychological therapy.
• Experience of module development and delivery in higher education (desirable).
• Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate projects (desirable).
• Evidence of scholarship and conference presentations on pedagogy (desirable).
• Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCertHE) or recognised by Advance HE as a Fellow against Descriptor 2 of the UKPSF (desirable).
