A leading UK university is seeking a candidate to drive research and teaching in interdisciplinary robotics, particularly in aerospace applications. The role-holder will drive forward research and teaching in interdisciplinary robotics, with a particular focus on applications to aerospace. They will work collaboratively across the University's established strengths in aerospace, cognitive robotics, mechatronics and beyond, while also cultivating partnerships with the aircraft industry and international research groups. Through this, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of robotics innovation at Manchester, advancing world‑leading research, strengthening interdisciplinary capability, and ensuring that our graduates are equipped with the skills and insight to lead in an emerging national priority area. The appointee is expected to lead on the development and delivery of teaching on fundamental topics related to Aerospace Engineering for disciplinary or interdisciplinary programmes in the school, with opportunities to contribute to cross‑University programmes.
