Art & Design / Fine Art Teacher (0.8 FTE)

January - July 2026

Tuesday to Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and creative Art & Design / Fine Art teacher to join a Sixth Form College team on a four‑day‑a‑week basis from January to July 2026. We are looking for someone who can inspire confidence, encourage experimentation, and help students unlock their creative potential.

About the Role

You will teach across Art & Design and Fine Art, delivering engaging lessons that develop students' technical skills, conceptual thinking, and ability to communicate visually. Art & Design is a broad and dynamic subject—connecting everything from fashion and film to architecture, advertising, gaming, and product design. You will play a key role in helping students build strong portfolios, explore new ideas, and understand the role design plays in shaping the world around them.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has previous experience Teaching A-level Art
  • Has a DBS on the update service
  • Is enthusiastic, organised, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Can deliver creative, thoughtful, and well‑structured lessons
  • Enjoys supporting students as they explore ideas and develop their own artistic voice
  • Has experience guiding learners through portfolio preparation and progression routes
  • Creates a positive, inclusive, and encouraging studio environment
