Job description
Overview

Lecturer in Mental Health and Wellbeing – 14 hours per week. Salary £30,202 to £41,769 (pro rata) per annum. Based at Wirral Metropolitan College in the Adult Education Team.

Job Purpose / Responsibilities

To effectively deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment based on best practice pedagogical approaches for all types of provision.

  • To carry out formal scheduled teaching
  • Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students to maintain high achievement rates
  • Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials
  • Mark students' work and examinations and carry out internal quality assurance
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in health or mental health related subject
  • Recognised full teaching qualification or be working towards a level 5 teaching award or equivalent within 2 years
  • Able to evidence successful experience of teaching, training or assessing students, particularly adult students
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to use IT to support students in teaching, learning and assessment in a flexible learning environment
