Overview

Lecturer in Hospitality (Bakery & Confectionary)

Close date: 22/02/2026

Salary: £28,273 to £42,655 per annum.

Full time - 37 hrs per week

Responsibilities

You will be required to teach across a range of Hospitality courses at a variety of levels including chocolate, patisserie, hot and cold desserts and bakery. You will also fulfill the role of a personal tutor. You will also be expected to share in the development and progress of the curriculum in the Centre and to assist in building links with relevant employers. You may be required to act as course leader on programmes within Hospitality.

Qualifications

You should have a relevant Level 3 or above qualification or professional equivalent and a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards this (to achieve within 2 years of appointment). You will have experience of working in Hospitality and of working in chocolate, patisserie, hot and cold desserts and bakery.

You should have experience of working within the 16-19 age group as well as experience of working in Hospitality, especially in chocolate, patisserie, hot and cold desserts and bakery. Experience of delivering qualifications on Hospitality courses is desirable.
