Lecturer in GCSE and Functional Skills English

We are seeking an English Lecturer to teach GCSE and Functional Skills to a wide range of learners in the English Department at Loughborough College.

The area is a highly successful team with over 600 full‑time learners. This team offers a wide range of provision from Functional Skills to GCSE English. We are looking for someone who will deliver inspiring teaching and learning and monitor progress in lessons.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners are on track to achieve their target grades through appropriate assessments and clear, constructive feedback. Teach GCSE English and, where required, support delivery of some Functional Skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent
• Teaching qualification or actively working towards one
• Previous experience teaching English (GCSE level preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
