Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding (on-site)

Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding (on-site) – 35 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. Salary range £27,702 to £41,892 per annum. Starting salary subject to College salary assessment process. Based at Suffolk New College Rural Campus with potential to work at other campus locations.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding with industry experience who can demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for the subject and inspire learners.

You will be required to teach on our Level 2 & 3 Fabrication and Welding courses, adult welding courses, and units of welding on Level 2 Engineering courses, as well as apprenticeships in Fabrication and Welding and Engineering. Full-cost courses in Introduction to Welding are also offered to local businesses. You should have relevant up-to-date industry experience, supported by a relevant qualification. You should also have a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Maths and English, and a commitment to achieving a teaching qualification within a specified timeframe.

If you are moving into education as part of your career plan, or have transferable industry skills, we will provide you with support to guide you through training and development and to gain the required qualifications.

This post is based at Suffolk New College Rural Campus. However, Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site and you may be required to travel between campuses.
