About the role

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer / Course Manager to join the Animal Management team on a full‑time permanent basis. The role involves teaching a range of subjects to Further Education learners, course‑managing, implementing quality assurance processes, and developing new curriculum content to keep us at the forefront of this evolving arena. As the department moves into the T‑level curriculum, a good understanding of Level 3 T‑level delivery would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop new curriculum content consistent with college approved procedures.
  • Develop links and build relationships with industry and associated stakeholders.
  • Provide course management to one or more student groups.
  • Establish effective working relationships with all interdependent areas of the college.
  • Optimise use of the college animal management department through knowledge transfer internally and externally.
The successful candidate will
  • Have a minimum Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (or be willing to work toward one).
  • Be technically sound with inspirational and innovative teaching ability.
  • Be able to communicate and negotiate effectively with individuals at all levels, including students, parents, colleagues and the wider industry.

Additional information

Reaseheath encourages applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as from qualified teachers. A full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications and hands‑on support is offered during Further Education training. Industry professionals joining in an academic role will complete their Further Education training whilst in post.
