Overview

Do you have experience working in SEND? Are you an advocate for developing skills and aspirations in students? Can you inspire students to achieve? The Foundation Learning Development team here at East Coast College are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging addition to their team.

Your day‑to‑day will involve empowering our students through adaptive and inclusive teaching to enable achievement of their English qualification. Delivering from E1 to L2, your student‑centred approach will ensure that their individual needs are met, as well as those identified in EHCPs, parent/carer interaction and external agencies. Your ability to build rapport and appreciate a holistic approach to their education and development will see you engage with and develop both their personal and professional identities. Your ability to inspire will not go unnoticed as your impact is realised through regular progress reviews and multi‑team collaboration.

Qualifications and Experience

Please note, candidates who secure a teaching position but do not currently hold a teacher qualification are required to obtain this within their first three years of employment. The college may provide support, but the employee must sign a commitment form and may be required to repay fees if they fail to complete the qualification or exit the organisation within the committed timeframe.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
