Job description

Cirencester College has an exciting new role of Learning Support Technician. This is a great opportunity for an innovative, forward‑thinking support worker to join our thriving College and be at the forefront of developing and creating a joined‑up whole‑college approach to supporting students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the link between teaching teams and learning support.
  • Ensure high‑quality support for individuals or groups of learners in class, out of class, and in workshop situations.
  • Work effectively as part of the team, liaising, advising and consulting with teaching and non‑teaching staff as appropriate.
  • Participate confidently in discussions, faculty and team meetings, and reviews relating to the learners you are supporting.
  • Liable for active participation in the development of a whole‑college approach to supporting students.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Good level of general education, including GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to liaise with staff, external agencies and parents/carers as required to share information effectively.
  • Strong team‑working ability with outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence and initiative to work across the college with a wide range of staff and students from all faculties.
