Overview
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and committed learning support practitioner to join our team and support the education of pupils with complex social, emotional, mental health and/medical or learning needs as soon as possible.
Responsibilities and requirements
- Have specialist knowledge and experience of supporting the learning and development of pupils with behaviours and needs which are frequently associated with a wide range of complex conditions, including ASC, ADHD, emotional dysregulation and Attachment Disorder.
- Have a depth of understanding, knowledge and experience of working with children with complex communication needs.
- Demonstrate an unwavering determination to create positive learning experiences for the most vulnerable children.
- Prioritise supporting care, communication and support of pupils needs.
- Have a good understanding and practice of how to adapt the environment, teaching style, resources, use the Sandwell Learning Ladder or Hierarchy of Independence and use Widget resources.
- Have a commitment to working as part of a team and sharing good practice.
- Have a positive outlook, energy and good communication skills.
