What skills and experience we’re looking for. Want to join new our state-of-the-art, Specialist Resource Provision (SRP)? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the team within The Victory Harbour providing support to SEMH students. Working, as directed by the SENCO, with individual students and groups of students, supporting with the monitoring of progress for individuals.
The Victory Harbour is our new Specialist Resource Provision, a dedicated provision specifically for students, with an EHCP, who have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. The Victory Harbour is fully part of The Victory Academy which welcomed its first cohort of students in September 2025. To be an integral part of our school and a centre of excellence for children with SEMH and children who, with support, can access opportunities in mainstream education. To be a base where children with SEMH are supported to learn strategies to enable them to achieve and thrive. Focusing on communicating and interacting with and relating to others, and experiencing the diverse, real world around them. To be an inspirational provision of inclusion that is reflective of the wider school ethos and values.
Support students with SEMH needs in line with the SENCO’s guidance. Monitor individual progress and help with group interventions. Assist with classroom tasks, behavior support and transitions. Work with the wider team to promote inclusion and well-being.
