Overview

✨ Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Specialist Provision, Great Dunmow ✨

Protocol Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an independent specialist provision in Great Dunmow.

The school provides high-quality, positive, and relevant educational experiences for children and young people aged 11–19 who have ongoing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, alongside associated complex needs. The provision focuses on supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.

Responsibilities

As an LSA, you will support pupils within the classroom and through targeted interventions, working closely with teachers and the wider staff team to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Building trusting relationships and providing consistent, calm support are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with SEMH or SEND is welcomed but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. This role would suit someone with experience or interest in education, care, youth work, or support work, and who is passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives.

Hours

Full-time, long-term position.

Monday to Friday | School hours.

Additional Information

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
