An independent educational provider is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant in Mill End Green. The role involves supporting students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within a structured environment. Ideal candidates should have a passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of young people. Full training is provided, and the position requires building supportive relationships within the classroom. This is a full-time, long-term role, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.
✨ Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Specialist Provision, Great Dunmow ✨
Protocol Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join an independent specialist provision in Great Dunmow.
The school provides high-quality, positive, and relevant educational experiences for children and young people aged 11–19 who have ongoing social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, alongside associated complex needs. The provision focuses on supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills.
As an LSA, you will support pupils within the classroom and through targeted interventions, working closely with teachers and the wider staff team to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. Building trusting relationships and providing consistent, calm support are key aspects of the role.
Previous experience working with SEMH or SEND is welcomed but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. This role would suit someone with experience or interest in education, care, youth work, or support work, and who is passionate about making a positive difference in young people’s lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
