Smile Education are proud to be supporting The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust in their search for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join one of their Secondary Schools based in Wolverhampton.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to support small groups of pupils with a range of additional needs, including PMLD, ASD, and SEMH. The role requires someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best.

The Role

• Supporting students in small groups and occasionally on a 1:1 basis.
• Working with pupils with complex needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Leading small group sessions and promoting independent learning.
• Collaborating with a supportive staff team to implement strategies and interventions.
• Contributing to an inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or education (essential – non-education qualifications cannot be considered).
• Experience of supporting SEND students within a specialist school or alternative provision.
• Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively and positively.
• The confidence to work independently as well as part of a team.
• The ability to provide two professional references covering the past two years (with at least one referencing your experience working with children).
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education).
• A flexible, positive attitude and a willingness to engage in training and new approaches.
