Access School is not your run of the mill school. We find creative ways to work with very special children, who, for a variety of reasons, struggle with mainstream schools. Small student numbers mean we can give our very best to the young people who come through our doors every day, and we'd love you to be there too.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and committed Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with teaching staff, therapeutic practitioners, and other support professionals to provide a safe, consistent, and empowering learning environment for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning activities
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and social development through therapeutic approaches
  • Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and achieving personalised targets
  • Build trusting relationships and provide consistent, empathetic responses to behaviour
  • Help maintain a safe, calm, and engaging classroom environment
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A nurturing, patient, and emotionally intelligent approach
  • A team player who values collaboration and reflection
  • Passionate about inclusive education and committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
What We Offer
  • Salary: Up to £13 per hour
  • Extensive training and career progression (support to work towards NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce)
  • Access to Paycare and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Contributory Pension
  • Long Service Rewards

Full time hours: 34 per week (Term Time + INSET)

Work Location: In person
