Qualifications

What skills and experience we're looking for

Sunnyfields Primary School is looking to appoint a dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant, whose role will also include providing EYFS and SEN support, primarily on a one-to-one basis. Due to the nature of the specific needs, it would be ideal for the Learning Support Assistant to have experience working with individuals with additional needs. The successful candidate will also provide high quality in-class and group support for children.

  • Have previous experience of working with EYFS children in a primary school or private nursery setting;
  • Be enthusiastic and keen to learn;
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently and flexibly;
  • Share the school’s commitment to inclusion, developing the best possible learning and pastoral environment for all children;
  • Be committed to the school’s focus on active learning;
  • Experience working with children with SEN in any capacity;
  • Demonstrate good levels of English and Mathematics to at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent, and demonstrate competency using ICT;
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or similar;
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, children and parents.
