Learning Support Assistant Carer (multiple posts available)

We are looking for multiple Learning Support Assistant Carers to join our Additional Learning Support Team. This is a 24 hours per week, part‑time, permanent role offering a salary of £14,655 per annum.

Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities
  • To provide appropriate support for individual or groups of students in/out of class, in accordance with their individual support plan, so that they achieve their learning goals.
  • To provide appropriate personal care support to students who require this, including supporting students to use the toilet, wash, and eat/drink.
  • To work with subject tutors to ensure appropriate and effective support to meet individual student needs.
  • To contribute to the maintenance of all necessary tracking and monitoring documentation (e.g. daily records; student reviews).
Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 GCSE passes or equivalent including Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 2 in Care
  • Experience of Microsoft Office packages
  • Be able to support young people and adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities in a variety of settings.
  • Experience of providing personal care, manual handling and administration of medication and willingness to undertake training as appropriate.
