Job summary

A leading educational support provider is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to create a nurturing environment for children with additional needs in East Grinstead. You'll support their learning, confidence, and engagement during school hours. Experience with children is beneficial, along with a calm demeanor and a desire to help. Qualifications

  • Experience in school, care, SEN, or youth work is valuable.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Location: East Grinstead & surrounding areas
Contract: Full‑Time / Part‑Time — flexible to suit you
Daily Rate: £89.05 – £110
Hours: School hours (08:30 – 15:30)

Are you passionate about supporting children who need a little extra help to succeed? Whether you already have school experience or are looking to begin a rewarding career in education, this Learning Support Assistant role offers the chance to positively impact young lives across East Grinstead.

We are seeking caring, patient and committed LSAs to work with pupils in both primary and secondary settings. You’ll help children with additional needs access learning, feel confident in the classroom and develop essential skills for life.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs in their learning and wellbeing
  • Helping children stay focused, confident and engaged throughout the school day
  • Assisting teachers with lessons, routines and classroom activities
  • Creating a safe, nurturing classroom environment
  • Adapting to different schools, age groups and individual needs
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, SEN, youth work etc.)
  • A calm, patient and supportive attitude
  • Confidence to work across a variety of school environments
  • A genuine desire to help children reach their potential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
