Seeking an LSA/TA/Care Assistant/Support Worker in Loughton!

Protocol Education are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Loughton. You will join a fantastic team that predominantly work with children who have a variety of special needs, including MLD, SLD, ASD, and PMLD. A desire to assist in this area is essential — but no experience is necessary. A friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build strong relationships and rapport with individual children, is important.

This school requires staff on a long-term, full-time basis (5 days a week between the hours of 8:30am – 3:30pm).

Responsibilities
  • Support children who have a variety of special needs (including MLD, SLD, ASD, and PMLD) within a specialist school setting.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with individual children to support their learning and development.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment through a friendly and proactive approach.
  • Assist with day-to-day classroom activities and personalised learning plans as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • No experience is necessary; a passion for helping children with special needs is essential.
  • Desirable certificates: Manual Handling, Hoist, First Aid, or Care.
  • All applicants must have or be willing to undertake safeguarding checks in line with protocols; prove appropriate qualifications and training for the role.
  • Crucial compliance: DBS checks and update service where applicable.
