Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Mainstream Schools & Specialist SEN Schools
Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire - September 2025

Are you an engaging and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant seeking a new and rewarding opportunity in a school environment that values inclusive provision? Tradewind are supporting both mainstream and SEN specialist schools in Aylesbury, and the Buckinghamshire area who are seeking both new and experienced Learning Support Assistants to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary age groups.

Opportunities are available in both mainstream secondary schools and specialist SEN provisions, offering flexible opportunities to match your skill-set and development in learning support - Whether you are experienced or looking to build a career in education, these roles offer a supportive and structured pathway into SEN and classroom support.

Role Overview:

  • Provide tailored 1:1, and small group intervention support to pupils with a range of SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to meet individual learning needs
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and support behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals as required

Role Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable
  • A patient, flexible, and compassionate approach to supporting learners with additional and complex needs
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of students across different key stages, from Early Years to KS4
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of pupils
  • A desire to make a genuine impact on young people's social and academic development
