Overview

Learning Support Assistant

Pro rata of £25,582 per annum, for details on the pro rata salary, see attached job description (page 6). Up to 32 hours per week, 36 weeks per year. Hours: Flexible hours available (average working day: 6-7 hours). Must be available on Fridays. Make a real difference - every single day.

Responsibilities

As a Learning Assistant, you will support students requiring additional help with their programmes of study across various areas within College, creating positive relationships with them and assisting them in a classroom or workshop setting. This will include students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including emotional, social, behavioural and mobility needs. The work you do as a Learning Assistant will ensure our students’ have a rewarding and fulfilling experience at college.

Qualifications

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities, as well as effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. A GCSE (or equivalent) in English at grade C/4 or above is also essential.
