Job summary

An educational organization seeks a Learner Recruitment & Reception Officer to enhance customer service for learners. This part-time role (22.5 hours/week) at Rotherham College requires strong communication skills and relevant customer service experience. Job description
Overview

The Learner Recruitment & Reception Officer role is a key part of the Group's customer service provision, within the Learner Recruitment team, providing a professional and high-quality customer service to internal and external customers. In this role, you will ensure that all learners receive a positive experience when they make course enquiries, whether in person, over the phone or via electronic communication. The role will provide a professional reception service, including providing a range of pre-entry information and advice to potential and existing customers, referring to specialists where appropriate. Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer-focused approach you will assist the Group to achieve our mission to provide skills for the future of our students and community through outstanding teaching & learning. The preferred days of the week we would ideally like this role to work on are Monday - Wednesday 8.30am - 5.00pm, however we can discuss this further at interview with candidates.

Location & Salary

Location: Rotherham College, Rotherham, S65 1EG
Salary: £24,930 (£15,160.14 pro-rata) per annum
Vacancy Type: Part time (22.5 hours per week, all year round)

Responsibilities

You will have previous experience of working in a customer facing role, and ideally within an education setting, providing information, advice and guidance. You will have excellent communication both written & verbal and be able to deal with a range of enquiries in the most effective manner. You will need to be able to deal with enquiries appropriately and effectively, under minimal supervision on occasion as receptions can be very busy. You will hold a Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE), and a Level 3 in Information & Guidance as well as a Level 2 Customer Service or be willing to work towards.
