Overview

My client is a global logistics and supply chain solutions provider and they are looking for a Lean Deployment Lead who will be responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives in order to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the network of sites in London.

Global Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions business on the search for a Lean Deployment Lead.

As the Lean Deployment Specialist you will apply the Lean principles to optimise processes, enhance safety, improve quality, ensure on-time delivery, and reduce costs.

Reporting directly into senior leadership you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable improvements, foster a culture of problem-solving and support effective implementation of strategic and operational business plans.

This role incorporates elements of Lean methodologies such as Kaizen, Kata, Hoshin Kanri, and Standard Work, tailored specifically to the organisation's needs.

As a Lean Deployment Lead you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
  • Driving cultural change and embedding lean principles into leadership frameworks, shaping long-term operational strategies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Positively coach, influence and actively manage leadership behavioural change.
  • Coordinate and drive the local implementation of Lean strategies, including process standardisation, daily management and problem solving/improvement activities.
  • Take ownership of local implementation activities using defined tools and methodologies where applicable and ensure ongoing coordination of local resources involved in corporation with management.
  • Collaborating with regional and global leadership teams to align the Lean academy with business objectives.
  • Influencing C-level leaders to ensure long-term integration of lean principles into organisational culture
  • Accountable for achieving significant performance improvements, operational excellence, and financial results, and ensuring the delivery of impactful, sustainable results.
  • Ensure the sustainable implementation of improvements from daily management and strategic Kaizen activities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategic roadmap to mature initiatives and ensure sustainable improvements.
Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree of an engineering discipline from an accredited university
  • Strong analytical and inquisitive thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven inference
  • Proficiency in MS Office-Excel, other software knowledge beneficial (Statistics, simulation, Kanban, etc.)
  • High coordination skills and hands-on approach
  • Enhanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong Logistics or Manufacturing knowledge with deep understanding of shop floor management
  • Lean training certifications, with a preference for Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience in Lean management within industrial operations.
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organisational demands
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Based in London with the ability to travel to customer sites.
Compensation

£65,000 - £75,000 + benefits
