Responsibilities

• Servicing hot and cold water systems, chemical tank cleans, and temperature monitoring.
• Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance on all dosing equipment.
• Performing remedial plumbing works following legionella risk assessments.
• Maintaining good relationships with the company’s portfolio of clients.
• Disinfecting mains water systems and performing tank cleans.
• Monitoring client air and water systems for compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
• Providing accurate reports and maintaining necessary paperwork.

Overview

Our client is an expanding and successful water treatment company that provides a variety of environmental and water management services to long‑standing clients throughout the UK. Due to recent contract wins, they are seeking a hard‑working Lead Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the London area. The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of water hygiene duties to a varied site base and manage their own schedule and clients. Consideration will be given to candidates from Richmond, Sutton, Croydon, Lewisham and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working as a water hygiene engineer within the water industry.
• Hands‑on experience undertaking legionella risk assessments (beneficial but not essential).
• Competent with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of the water treatment/hygiene industry.

Responsibilities

• Servicing hot and cold water systems, chemical tank cleans, temperature monitoring, cooling towers, chlorination, etc.
• Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance on all dosing equipment.
• Performing remedial plumbing works following legionella risk assessments.
• Maintaining good relationships with the company’s portfolio of clients.
• Disinfecting mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, changing and replacing tanks, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
• Monitoring client air and water systems to ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
• Providing accurate reports and maintaining paperwork.
