Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function daily. You will review, lead, and develop strategies for the security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team's future using your expertise in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  • Developing and deploying APIs in containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • Using CloudFormation/CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
